Even a pandemic couldn't keep the spirited and increasingly tech-savvy Odia film industry down, as it bounced back from a mere 12 releases in 2020 to now being a youthful, independently-driven hub where over half the films are crowdfunded, VFX and drones are commonplace, and the hallowed grounds of Puri seem to be in every other shot.
