Pests, Soil, and Maintenance Interpretation

Our gardens are essentially bustling microcosms where a teaspoon of soil contains a billion allies, yet we often overwater our plants to death and battle weeds, while overlooking that 95% of insects are on our side, and if we simply used more mulch and fewer chemicals, nature's own workforce—like ladybugs devouring 5,000 aphids—would keep most problems in check.
