The ranking emphasized concrete mechanisms that affect real workflows, including how 2D edits synchronize with 3D views, how exports preserve design intent, and how clearly automation and API support are exposed.
It also prioritized admin and governance controls when team collaboration requires RBAC-like role separation and audit-style visibility for project or configuration changes. Home Designer Pro separated from lower-ranked tools primarily because it kept synchronized 2D edits and interactive 3D room views in lockstep during decor changes and also mapped material and finish styling to rendered room views, which elevated both the features score and the practical ease of iterating designs without view mismatch.
