By end of 2024, 80% of post houses had already folded AI into their workflows, yet the reasons vary from faster rotoscoping to cheaper VFX and even live audio cleanup. At the same time, studios are treating AI less like a tool and more like an operating system, with Hollywood investment hitting $450M in 2023 and market growth pushing cinema AI to $1.2B worldwide. The surprising part is how quickly “experimental” results turned into studio baseline expectations.
